The vision for the revitalized student center is guided by an overarching interest in sustainability. In a sustainable design workshop funded by an ASUC TGIF grant, students underscored the desire for visible measures and systems for renewing energy, managing storm water, and reducing waste that would provide an on-going educational element to promote sustainable practices. Further workshops will focus on integrating these and other measures as the project moves into programming and schematic design.
